Two Good Things About Trump’s Reelection
Morning in Mazatlán
There aren’t too many good things about Trump’s reelection, but I did find two:
1. I have reached out and connected with people I hadn’t talked to, maybe since the last Trump term. I also found new friends in many feeds. Wonderful people. Beautiful connections. Glorious support.
2. I am praying more. Me, you, the country, Ukraine, Palestine, the whole freaking world needs it and I don’t know what else to do.
Some of you are happy, but you soon won’t be. We tried to warn you. But maybe you like vile, fascist dictators who want to dismantle America. I don’t believe you do. I think you believed his lies instead of our Truth.
My son tells me it won’t be that bad. A TV pundit said the same: Trump did this to avoid prison (yes, thank you, Trump voters), and now he’ll just want to sit around the White House eating cheeseburgers. I hope they’re right.
But Trump is malleable, and he’s mean. The minions around him will have many nasty ideas about how he might wield his power. God help us.
No one knows what he’ll do. But I know what I did the last 24 hours and will continue to do:
Every freaking thing I can to get as many people through this happy, healthy, and well.
I hope you do the same.
Love y’all.
