Word of the Year – Truth: Isaiah 55:9-11
Each year, instead of a resolution, I’ve chosen a virtuous word to learn more about and incorporate into my life. With the reelection of convicted felon Donnie J, my word this year is TRUTH.
This will be no surprise for those of us living on Earth One, where facts are paramount. My challenge as a truthteller has always been to communicate it with love, and this difficulty only deepens in this mire of hate, disinformation, and downright neglect of common decency.
The words below, part of my morning readings, gave me solace and perspective as we entered a new age with a narcissistic Commander who does NOT hold the tenants that most decent and caring Americans do. Through us, GOD’s words go out and achieve the way of a Higher Order.
May we all remain strong and vigilant in what is Good, Kind, Loving, and Unifying.
Isaiah 55:9-11
New International Version
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
